Another Group Rip Etiquette Question

Is there any method for deciding who starts a group rip, what product is in the group rip, who BBCE will deal with for a group rip?
I ask because I've participated in several over the past couple years. Occasionally I see things on the BBCE site that I think would make a great group rip (for me) -- but feel it might be in violation of some rule that I'm not aware of to announce that I want to do a group rip of 1990 Donruss Baseball (only costs $0.22 per pack after discount) (joking btw). Just curious if there is a method or procedure. Or if we send suggestions to someone. Or....
Thanks!

Collecting:
Any unopened Baseball cello and rack packs and boxes from the 1970's and early 1980s.
I noticed some guys like to get opinions, and I think there's been threads that basically check to see how popular a certain product might be.
Good luck.
EDIT: Ya what they said.

<< <i>There is no formal procedure. If someone sees something that they think may interest the board, they will typically post to gauge the interest level and then contact Steve at BBCE to find out if that product is still available for the group rip (I prefer the term box break
I prefer "box break" also ... "group rip" teases me into thinking I'm gonna see massive carnage ... only to see collectors keeping the boxes sealed ... oh the humanity!!! >>
Does I refer to the entity bbg?
Just kidding surprised you used I
Not all of them, obviously- but every now and then. It's more fun when you actually get to see what everyone got!

The thing I look forward to most in rips is seeing the big hits in great condition!

In most instances I would say yes to all opening the packs. Just like the recent 75 mini packs/lots/boxes. These packs can be purchased at a decent price and seem readily available, as far as say like a 75 mini rack, then its up to the buyer. As these do not come up as often. But in all fairness to the buyers, its their money so if they sit on the stuff they buy so be it....
