George W Bush Book Plates

Does anyone know whether the book plates are, indeed authentic? I know PSA has slabbed some, but I wasn't sure if they were autopen nonetheless. I tried searching past threads but couldn't find anything on this. Thanks!

Jon ... this custom that Doran did for me was from a bookplate I received in the mail:

    Jon,

I haven't seen any autopen patterns yet on the GW Decision Points bookplates. Doesn't mean that they don't exist, but I've viewed a bunch of these and have yet to find two that match autopen patterns. I have seen some fake GW Decision Points bookpates though that were basically scanned color copies of originals (I believe those were generated by unscrupolous people trying to deceive, rather than sent out directly from Bush's camp)

Most of the GW Decision Points bookplates I've seen bear what I believe to be authentic signatures.

Do people pay money for a W autograph? Isn't it embarassing to have anything displaying "Mission Accomplished."

This came up about a year ago here on the boards. A search for the thread will give you the discussion we all had at that time. I know the book plate I received didnt match any patterns to others who received them and if memory serves me right, the publishers website verified these are all hand signed.

A signed (by the author) "sticker" that is meant to be peeled and stuck on the front page of the author's book.
