if you're going to do something unbelievably stupid,

you might as well do it on double EBay bucks day.

I can't afford this

WS ... so it was you that helped the seller set a new record high for a PSA "7"? LOL In all seriousness I don't think you will find a better "7". Very Nice pickup. ENJOY.

I can see you sitting around the Thanksgiving Day table and leading the prayer before you eat: "Dear Lord, I thank you for that beautiful 1949 Bowman Jackie Robinson in PSA "7". Please be sure that my wife does not ask me how much it cost."

That doesn't look like a 7 to me, more like an 8. Great pick up

fyi, you could have bought about 100 of these cards made 1 year before that one.....

    image
The Jackie Robinson exhibit card was made ONLY in 1948 (never to be printed again by the company)

PS dont go buying 100 of them.... I was just kidding..... leave some for me to hoard like Ive been doing with the JRobinson, Paige, and Mays Exhibit cards.

After the recent story about Mays from the Sun Times show this last weekend I vote you ditch the Mays cards.

Maybe Mays doesnt want you guys exploiting his signature on his rookie card for profit.... Im sure you all have that in mind when you wait 3 hours in line with your raw 1951B card for a 2 second scribble ...

Frank, This is an incredibly ignorant comment your making. If you knew the O/P you would know that this couldn't be further from the truth. Maybe you shouldnt post on these boards if you have nothing nice to say. Every post I read from you has something to do with the affect that : "We are all idiots for buying mainstream cards, and you got it all figured out because you purchase the rare and hard to find variations". It gets old reading the same crap from you! There are many of us that buy a card for enjoyment, and don't worry about whether we will profit or not from it.

Mays refused to sign a copy of his 51 bowman rc. No explanation
provided. OP was on line for a while.

As for Frank's comment, I find his ignorance sad. This OP
enjoys meeting his childhood Herod and getting a signed
item to commemorate the event. There is no profit motive.
    Just personal enjoyment

My strong recommendation for Frank is to get the chip off
his shoulder and start learning to get along with others

Yup, I realize I went over the current high. But if I'm going to shell out that kind of coin for a piece of cardboard with a man's picture on it, I want a blazer.

Yes, I was trying to make a serious profit off Willie... lets do the math - card purchased on ebay for around $600 + $300 for the auto = $900+ I'm into the card for... the card would probably sit on ebay for a while and maybe if lucky sell for $1,000 - take out all fees and I might make $50.

to the OP nice pick up - great looking 7.
