My Birthday and Wedding Presents!

Early this year, I was lucky enough to convince an amazing woman to marry me. We got married in September just ten days after my birthday. Check out what my new bride gave me for my birthday (Willie) and the wedding (matching Gold Borders). I couldn't be happier with my decision and being married is truly wonderful.

Congrats...those are some nice looking cards. Who helped her pick them out with that good of eye appeal?

Drew, the fact that these cards depict Giants doesn't detract from the cool factor, especially the T205s. So did your wife end up figuring out what to get by herself, or did she end up enlisting help?

Congrats again on your marriage, btw.

Thanks, guys. To answer Geordie's question, my wife pretty much did it on her own. I gave her a list of several cards I would love to own but never thought I'd buy for myself. She did her homework, haggled with some Ebay sellers and came up with some great cards! She might not be able to tell if a raw card is a 6 or an 8 (either can I, of course), but she is good at figuring out what card presents best for the price. I couldn't be happier with the cards and I'm sure they'll be handed down to our kids someday.

I just uploaded the Willie Mays card to my website, so here's a larger scan. The corners might be a bit soft, but the colors are great, centering is nearly perfect and the card looks just great for its grade.:
