I had him sign all 3 in person when he was alive. The blue pen one I paid 50.00 when he signed at shows in the 90s. and the 2 black sharpie ones I meet him at a charity event and he signed them for me.
Just wanted to see what yall thought.
  • Was he still drinking when he signed that 3rd one. That right one out of all of them looks the worse (not that the other 2 look bad but if you got those 2 in person, better for you. I wouldn't recommend buying any mantle auto's unless authenticated by psa/dna. My dealer had a ball that he brought to the monthly local card show and jsa was on site and they said the ball was no good. I swear the thing looked good to me but I guess they have a way of knowing.
  • Mantle signed all over the place. The worst was at the end of a signing when he usually had a few drinks in him by then, And yes I remember going to the mall shows back in the 80's and he was signing everything in sight for $35. a pop.
