They know how NOT to kill the market.
CollectAuctions is selling these items with their own COA and guaranteeing that they came from sealed cases (which likely means the Larry Fritsch hoard). If, for any reason these items were ever shown not to be what CA says they are they would be fully liable to refund the purchase price on them.
Put simply, I am not only comfortable with these items being legitimate. I am bidding on several of them.
As per VCP data a 1971 series 3 vending box last sold at $7800. Series 4 at between $11.5K and $15k.
I think there was an auction last year (or early this year) that had vending boxes from series 3, 4, and 5. I vaugely recall them going at somewhere between $6k and $8k each. Can't recall which auction so I could verify this. If anyone can come up with this and post it back to the thread I would appreciate it.
Just remember, despite being vending that has no bearing on the centering (and a lot of the cards in those boxes will be OC).
Received the catalog the other day ... wow, some real nice pieces in there!
STAY HEALTHY!

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.
<< <i>If the '78 vending is truly pulled from a case it's a shame that they didn't offer the case itself as I would bid on that and I'm sure many others would ... a loose vending box though? ... gonna have to pass on that.
Those early '70s vending are another story though, glad I don't collect those! >>
