BBCE Black Friday Deal?

Any indication that BBCE will do something similar to what they did last year for BF? (10% + free shipping)

I've had my eye on some junk wax that I'd like to buy...

(if this has been covered already, I'm sorry, I didn't see it when I looked)

  • I emailed and they said yes they were doing it, and the weight limit would probably be around 60 pounds for free shipping.
Anyone know how many boxes or sets would weigh 60 pounds?

Surely somebody made helium-filled cards in the junk era. Just order some of them to keep the weight down.

I've been looking at some of the vintage football boxes.

In your opinion, which of the following is the best buy?

    1968 Series 1 FB
    1972 FB Series 2
    1973 FB
    1976 FB Cello

I'm leaning towards the 1976 FB Cello box.

I think you can't go wrong with the 1976 cello box since it has Payton in it.

However, I think the 1968 may be more scarce.

Thanks. It will also prevent me from wasting money on new wax. I hope it goes on sale.

I was looking at the 1968 box, but I like the 1976 checklist better.

I'm shying away from the 1972 boxes due the horrible centering I've seen from packs.

the centering thing is hit or miss. I collected 65-69 stuff as a kid in Cali, never had a big problem with centering. I still have 100's and 100;s of cards from those collecting days, and the centering was really good. I think it's gonna be a hit or miss thing, go for it, 68 and 72!
