I do signed RCs. I have paypal to either buy a 48 Bowman Musial or a 51 Bowman Whitey Ford to have signed. Which one would you get to have signed and why?

The Musial....I hear Stan is in poor health and might not be around too much longer....

Tough Call. Both Gentlemen are pretty elderly. If you could get the Musial Leaf, then it would be a no brainer to pick that one

The Whitey, I'm a Yankee fan and whiteys signature is one of the nicest sigs(clear and precise) from a Yankee.

Musial easy. It's a classic card from a classic set of a all-time great. Whitey is great, don't misunderstand, but he and Musial are not on the same level of the HOF Pyramid IMHO.

Well, I have located a very nice psa 4 whitey ford and also a psa 4 stan musial within my price range. I do like the Leaf Musial but with that dark blue background, the sig would be pretty tough to see. I like the thoughts on Musial and the only thing that has me wondering what to consider is Musials ability to sign. His signature is looking pretty haggard and really shows his age now but I agree its probably the more desirable one.

So, does anyone have VCP on a PSA 4 Ford and a PSA 4 Musial?

Forget the rookies -- there are tons of them out there
Pick up this panel and have both sign it -- gotta believe there are not too many of these signed out there
(1st panel in the 2nd row)

I'd go with Stan the Man. As others have mentioned, his health is an issue, but I just think he is one of the 10 greatest players ever, got to get him before Whitey.

Im not looking for oddball items to have signed because its for my own collection of signed rookies. But thanks for the suggestion...its a neat idea.

I guess I'll have to go with the Musial! Anyone have VCP on a PSA 4?

Barry I know it isn't your style but do yourself a favor and buy the Musial already signed.Because of his health his signature is very poor.A copy with a clean signature would have more long term value if the need to sell ever came up.

I'd go with the Ford for the above reasons and buy a Musial already signed.

Mike, I have looked at already signed copies of both and not finding any that I like. Maybe I should go with the Ford and find the Musial later and hope I find one to my liking because his sig really is pretty terrible right now.

See my dilemma? I keep going back and forth! LOL
