Question about 1984 Donruss Rack Packs

Im scrolling through ebay and come across a rack pack with the Perry/Fingers showing on top. This confuses me because I thought the A and B cards were only issued in Factory Sets. Can someone please clarify this for me? Were A and B cards really in the rack packs? Or is this a fake rack pack?

yes, indeed, a and b were distributed in racks, and wax packs. I remember vividly opening 20 rack packs my mom bought me for my 16th birthday in spring of 1984. I was glad because Donruss and Fleer were no where to be found by early summer (in South Bend Indiana).

And no, i did not have a girlfriend! image

  • The A&B's are not included in the factory sets. Steve had a rack at The National with Fingers/Perry on top

I guess my brain went haywire and I had it the opposite...I thought it was that the A and B were in the factory sets only. I have no recollection of pulling A and B cards out of wax. I had never opened any rack.

Well, thanks guys! LOL Now I'll go see my doctor for alzheimers....
