Working Man's Champion. Nothing special. No hype. No talk. He just went in there and worked and did his job in the ring. Ali might be "The Greatest", but the toughest guy he ever fought was Smokin' Joe. Rest In Peace, Champ.

  • RIP.

    Terrible loss.

While Boxing has never been considered one of the big 4 sports, as a kid growing up, there was nothing better or more compelling than watching that period in boxing. It had it all - legendary warriors, fascinating personalities and even wonderfully entertaining annoucers.

Frazier only knew one direction. I always marveled at his ability to simply to forward, straight to his oponent. There was no South gear in this guy. No east or west either. He will be sorely missed.
