Nickles in change I found today

jhdflajhdfla Posts: 3,025 ✭✭✭
Out of someones unc roll stash? Two very lustrous war nickles, the '45-P appears to be an end roll coin as it is darkly toned on the obverse, but very brilliant on the reverse. The '43-S is brilliant with a touch of gold on the reverse.

The 1940-D is brilliant with lustrous subtle nickle blue beginning to form on both sides. All were very well struck.

No others were in the roll. My pics don't due them justice, I really think someone set these aside. No real $$$ score here ( I did check to see if the '45-P was a DDR tho), just so cool to find something like these in a roll these days.

    Nice finds!
How many rolls did you search, wonder if there was more in the bunch.

Heck, I'm happy to find an ugly war nickel!

Those are exceptional nickels to find in change. Makes you wonder if they were spent by mistake. I once received an AU war nickel in change a few years ago at a store right next to my local B&M. I asked the coin shop owner if he recognized the coin and he said no. So its now mine.

Couple of weeks ago I found a nicer 43-S that was not worn or dark, just a mellow toning. I was pretty pleased, but now yours come along and those are totally sexay.
