Pretty cool video of a cache of seated liberty and bust coins found.

When you hear them mention that they think it's a plate at first, that means a Civil War beltplate.

Great.. this is what keeps cache hunters going. There was a similar video showing a find in a silver box like that, but it had a couple of gold coins too.... what a thrill... Cheers, RickO

Am I the only one that questions this being real? All the coins are culls or very very low grade. The chances of the coins all being junk quality is kind of odd??

Cool! I'll have to watch again on a faster connection. YouTube videos are sometimes herkyjerky for me while this creaky ol' 'puter waits to load.

Yeah - every time there was a little bit of dirt - "OH! Time to get the knife!"

    Neat to watch otherwise.

If you look, when he first gets the case open he has to remove a root of some kind that has grown into the case. I'm pretty sure the find is authentic. The case appears to be victorian and was likely burried in the 1870's or 80's which explains the wear on the majority of the coins.
