I Can't Believe I Bought This Toned Washington at ANA Today -pics-

I've have no interest in the series and have never bought a Washington quarter in my life, but this one looked incredible with the very vivid see through electric rim color like you might normally only see on a proof coin. I have no idea if I overpaid or not, but it looks really cool in person.

If I had seen only the reverse I would of assumed it was late 40's or early 50's. 64's don't often have such attractive color.
Really nice example ,would be a superb type set coin.image

Well the obvious thing to do now is sell it to me image

To bad for the low grade... but I like the obverse toning!

With the color I'd say a $40-50 coin? I got my really nice pcgs ms66 example for $90

given the current silver price, 1964 might become a rare date*. Those things gotta be getting tossed into the smelting pot faster than you can imagine.

    * pure hyperbole, don't start a 1964 will never be rare discussion!

Nice looking coin. I can completely understand why you did this. I actually did some thing similar at my local B&M today and bought a nicely toned 1943 Washington NGC MS 66 even though I don't like the design that much.
