I received my Stacks Bowers ANA catalogues today.....

..and what a treat they are! Well worth the wait. I do believe the Rarities Night catalogue will become a collectors item. Amazing coins and articles on each one.

While I'm not a paper man myself, The Harry W. Bass, Jr. Collection Part V is a wealth of knowledge on curriencies.

I have spent a very pleasing afternoon perusing all five auction catalogues.

I thought I saw a forklift drive by earlier. Mine must be on the way.

Yeah, got mine too. And the Heritage catalogs last week.

Sure doesn't look like a "coin drought" to me.

What's the write up on the 1975 No S Roosevelt look like?
I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

    Repeat after me:

    "There's nothing to buy!

    There's nothing to buy!

    There's nothing to buy!"

MrEureka: Don't you know that all dealers are supposed to say this every single day of our lives? Check your secret coin dealer handbook, man!

And kudos to Stack's-Bowers & Heritage for putting on incredible sales in August.

Numismaster has a pragraph about it Here
They quote Bowers as saying "“Watch the fireworks when this crosses the block,” Bowers exclaimed. “I congratulate the owner in advance.”

Got mine too, quite a mighty box to consider!! When Stacks and Bowers go to auction, THEY GO TO AUCTION!

I am in love with the Bass Educational sheets and would like to see a 7 figure hammer price on these!

This is going to be another Historic event. I received my catalogs two days ago. They really and truly did a terrific job. I wish I could be there.

Do they call it the discovery specimen? There was considerable confusion about that for a while. It is not. It's the other one.

It appears that the folks at Stacks worked their arses off with this sale. I sure hope it pays off for them.

Yeah mine too finally, as they are not Heritage when it comes to shipping.

Bowers was always slow shipping, so was Stack's... Wondertwins activate shape up a dead snail! image

On a good note they are finally forwarding tracking info once in transit which is something neither has done before.
