With much nicer surfaces than usually seen. Original patina that was difficult to photograph but I did my best. The color is a little bit more lighter gray in hand. Very nice strike for the type. I grade it XF+ although I easily see this one being graded by NGC as AU.
This is the second year of issue for this type and the denomination. An earlier type was struck in 1575 and had some design differences on the obverse. These were specifically struck for overseas trade and many circulated in New Netherland (which included New Amsterdam, present-day New York). Difficult to find with original surfaces and reasonable detail remaining, such as on this piece. The province of Holland was the first to strike these pieces although most of the other provinces and some cities followed later.
Asking $295 (price lowered August 24) which includes insured priority mail shipping. Payment by PayPal (gift option only please) or check/money order (needs to clear first).
Thanks for looking.

Anyone wants to make an offer? I will probably send this coin to NGC at the Baltimore show.
