I have to know! What is a "Tag"??

I am pretty new to coin collecting and have been a member here for several months.

Being a dummy it took me some time to work out how the "swaps" work, but I have got that now.

Even I figured out the "giveaway"... that is once I asked a question and someone replied..LOL

For the life of me I do not understand the "Tags" term. Am I just continuing to be thick headed?

Could someone tell me?

In a tag, the first person on the list of participants sends a coin of X value to the second person. The second person either forwards that coin to the third person or substitutes a coin of equal or greater value. This continues for the length of the list. The last person then sends a coin to the first which ends the tag. Note that the last person has usually died of old age before receiveing his coin.

Boy that really made me know how uniformed I am. It is a logical expalnation and a simple term.
