Mailman just stopped by for a 2nd trip today (6:15 P.M. PST)

Mailman said they are making multiple trips because the mail is "backed up."

So just throwing that out to anyone sending/receiving coins.

Kind of obvious since it is the holidays but I guess it has not been this bad.

We've been getting 2 a days for about 3 months now. Not every day, but about 2 times a week.
Havent asked why, but it is odd to get mail at 7 PM.

It must be really bad here in NJ with the two feet of snow on the ground. Roads are plowed, but most mailboxes are buried pretty deep.
All coins kept in bank vaults.

One delivery a day here... and I did not get ANY mail yesterday..... dang, where is it all?? image Cheers, RickO
  • I remember 65 odd years ago we once had 4 mail deliveries in a day during the Christmas rush. We had 3 in the morning. I could see mailman #2 and #3 working their way up the street at the same time. Then we had the regular afternoon delivery. That was nearly a useless exercise in our city. We got mail in all 4 deliveries. It made such an impression on me, that I still dream about it occasionally.
I haven't seen 2 deliveris in a day for decades now.

edited to change "as" to "was".
  • One day in 500 years when the trees are but a memory, christmas cards will be looked at in the annals of history as one of the biggest WTF WERE WE THINKING of all time. God what a waste of money.
