My recent pick up. I know this is a common date and outside my normal collecting interest but it looks to be in nice condition and the colour really appealed to me.
I think I might send it to PCGS and get it Truviewed. I'm sure the pictures from that would be nice.

Nice pickup!
It's just that I got my PCGS grades.
Quite unusual to find nice colorful USPI pesos. The environment and storage methods just weren't condusive to rainbow toning. They normally tone dark and unattractive. What do you grade yours? Is the skin original? A ton of these were cleaned over the years. Not easy finding original patina with luster, even for the common date 08-S. Nice find!
It doesn't look like an original uncleaned coin in the photo. Might look better in hand but this one appears to be cleaned.
It does appear a bit white/silvery so might have been dipped or cleaned. I'm hoping it might just be the angle and the lighting. Will have to see it in hand when it arrives. If its been cleaned it will be going back for a refund.
Oh well just sending the seller a message now to ask for a refund.

At least the seller is very understanding and has offered me a full refund including postage both ways.
You can find good and bad raw coins on ebay but I am taking a hard line approach. If any coin I win isn't up to muster or not as described it'll be going back.
I had a feeling. Too bad.
Seller could probably save himself some time and money by mentioning the hairlines and cleaning in the auction description (unless of course he knows nothing about coins).
I guess I'll give him the benefit of the doubt with this one.
