Opinions on this Gold & Silver 1988 Seoul Olympics Korea 6 Coin Set

Hi,
I posted this over at the world coin forum and I figured that I would ask over here since I mainly bought the set for it's PM value.
I have a question about a set that I just purchased.

How does this set look? I felt that I did sufficient homework on the coins and the seller before I purchased it.

Now that I pulled the trigger, I am getting worried that it is counterfeit.
Does anybody have any input or ideas on how to authenticate once I receive it.
Any opinions on the set?

I appreciate any input.

    That would be an odd choice of counterfeiters to fake. The seller looks legit, though apparently not a coin specialist.

    Apmex sells the gold coins alone for $645.89. An ounce and a half for the silver coins values it at around $675.

    The lesson here is whether or not the coins are fake (and I suspect they are not), your fear that they may be fake will probably be felt by any future potential buyers, too. In other words, if as you say you bought this set primarily for the PM value, you might have gone with a more liquid and easier to trust coin set. Like gold or silver eagles. Or in keeping with your commemorative theme, Northeast Numismatics has the 1986 six-coin statue of liberty set with about as much gold and more silver in a beautiful hardwood presentation case for $695, negotiable.

    Weiss, I had the same impression of the seller.
    I am 90% of the time a US PM buyer, but this set caught my eye.
    1/2 oz gold, 2 full ozs of silver (three silver coins - one ounce and two half ounce).
    Using my available rebates brings it down to a good price for the metal, but I also like the numismatic aspect of the commemoratives.
    Hopefully, I'm questioning the authenticity for nothing.

    There's a 99% chance this is a legit set. Let us know how it works out for you.
