Re: Slabbed coins - There are some coins that LIVE within clear plastic and wear their labels with pride... while there are others that HIDE behind scratched plastic and are simply dragged along by a label. Then there are those coins that simply hang out, naked and free
It was a hot Sunday mornin' Middle of July The choir was a singin' 'Bout the sweet by and by
Everybody was a swayin' And sweatin' in the heat We all bowed our heads down As the preacher took his seat
My sister and my brother stood next to my mother In the quiet at the close of the verse That's when daddy cut the big one At the Horn Lake Mississippi Missionary Baptist Church
My sister rolled her eyes back My brother bit his lip My cousin just behind us Whispered, "Hey, who let it rip?"
I stuck my face in my shirtsleeve Stared down at my shoes Lord, you could hear a pin drop As we stood there in the pew Heads were turnin', eyes were burnin'
Momma stuck her nose in her purse After daddy cut the big one At the Horn Lake Mississippi Missionary Baptist Church
He cut the big one It was a stinker Then he broke the silence With a snicker And us kids started laughin' 'Til I thought we was all gonna burst After daddy cut the big one At the Horn Lake Mississippi Missionary Baptist Church
He said, "The devil made me do it" Momma said it was the liverwurst And that's why daddy cut the big one At the Horn Lake Mississippi Missionary Baptist Church
And given that we know that PCGS has been and will be changing things over time (often (mainly?) to get people to resubmit) I'd say my personal favorite for Quote The Big One Unquote would be:

The Times They Are A-Changin' Come gather ’round people Wherever you roam And admit that the waters Around you have grown And accept it that soon You’ll be drenched to the bone. If your time to you is worth savin’ Then you better start swimmin’ or you’ll sink like a stone For the times they are a-changin’.
Come writers and critics Who prophesize with your pen And keep your eyes wide The chance won’t come again And don’t speak too soon For the wheel’s still in spin And there’s no tellin’ who that it’s naming.’ For the loser now will be later to win For the times they are a-changin’.
Come senators, congressmen Please heed the call Don’t stand in the doorway Don’t block up the hall For he that gets hurt Will be he who has stalled There’s a battle outside and it is ragin’. It’ll soon shake your windows and rattle your walls For the times they are a-changin’.
Come mothers and fathers Throughout the land And don’t criticize What you can’t understand Your sons and your daughters Are beyond your command Your old road is rapidly agin’. Please get out of the new one if you can’t lend your hand For the times they are a-changin’.

Howz about this one guys & gals... I like the words to the original... lol (shasta7) ========================================================== "American Pie"
A long, long time ago... I can still remember How that collecting coins used to make me smile. And I knew if I had my chance I would tell PCGS to let the coin collectors dance And, maybe, they would be happy for at least a lil while.
But february made me buy more silver With every ETF paper the comex would deliver. Bad news on the doorstep; I couldn't take one more step.
I can't remember if I cried About the PCGS NEWS on how we might be taken for a ride, But something touched me deep inside The day the coin hobby died.
So bye-bye, american eagles. Drove my chevy into the levee, But the levee was dry. And them good old collectors were drinkin whiskey and rye Singing, "this will be the day grading rates will rise." "this will be the day that rates rise."
Those who are collecting SILVER... will be wealthy shortly!!

Or maybe that's the theme song of the metal detectorists forum. (Can't believe we're pushing 100 posts here.)

This is what we'll be singing on March 26th.
A song that appears on the same album that applies to coin shows: For Those of Ya'll Who Wear Fanny Packs
The Times They Are A-Changin'
Come gather ’round people
Wherever you roam
And admit that the waters
Around you have grown
And accept it that soon
You’ll be drenched to the bone.
If your time to you is worth savin’
Then you better start swimmin’ or you’ll sink like a stone
For the times they are a-changin’.
Come writers and critics
Who prophesize with your pen
And keep your eyes wide
The chance won’t come again
And don’t speak too soon
For the wheel’s still in spin
And there’s no tellin’ who that it’s naming.’
For the loser now will be later to win
For the times they are a-changin’.
Come senators, congressmen
Please heed the call
Don’t stand in the doorway
Don’t block up the hall
For he that gets hurt
Will be he who has stalled
There’s a battle outside and it is ragin’.
It’ll soon shake your windows and rattle your walls
For the times they are a-changin’.
Come mothers and fathers
Throughout the land
And don’t criticize
What you can’t understand
Your sons and your daughters
Are beyond your command
Your old road is rapidly agin’.
Please get out of the new one if you can’t lend your hand
For the times they are a-changin’.
The line it is drawn
The curse it is cast
The slow one now
Will later be fast
As the present now
Will later be past
The order is rapidly fadin’.
And the first one now will later be last
For the times they are a-changin’.
