I had a 1866 dime returned as bogus, could I be wrong?
A TPG returned one to me as bogus. Several of the LSCC guys have raised a lot of awareness on S mints being passed as Philly's - it is super easy:
Strong Slope down - weak S - 100% NOT a Philly even if there is no trace of an S at all under a 30X Microscope
Very Slight downward slope - Proof unless there are major die cracks on the obverse than S mint
Slope up - Your good P mint.
That is the 1866 Dime you should know this before buying one, and the S mints are 10 times rarer in UNC too. Only in circ are the P mints worth more that the S mints.
