<< <i>hmmm... for some reason I just dont think its a proof. >>
Beautiful coin but that was my thought, PL not PF.

<< <i>OK I will clarify, it is in a PCGS proof holder. >>
Thank you. I thought this was a trick question.

I like it.
Since you have it inhand, and all we see are your nice shots, does it exhibit noticeable hairlines at a certain angle/view?
I still like it, regardless.
I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment
Please do share and is it for sale?

<< <i>What's up with the obverse denticles from 6:00 - 7:00? I see the same thing on the other picture that was posted, so it's not damage. >>
Not sure I shipped the coin back to the owner and will ask what he sees.....
<< <i>PR66 for that first coin is just absurd. It and the 68 look like twins, except the 66 is more DCAM than the 68 is. >>
I own the coin, and i thought it was a 67DCAM without looking at the grade. If the 68 CAM,is worth 58K,mine is worth 40+.As far as the denticles,it is on all 80Proofs i have seen.If there are any PR Morgan experts on the board they can answer better than me.Best, and most honest answer i can give.BTW, I have been looking for a PR Morgan for years, and this was the only one i have ever bought.I also do not think any DCAMs in any grade have been graded for 1880 Proofs.
<< <i>It has been said time and again that you can't grade proofs from images. The deciding factor on almost all proofs is hairlines, and a photo of a black and white coin will not show any. I understand that people have seen the coin in-hand and have opined on the grade, but to call the grade absurd based on the picture is, well, absurd. A PR62CAM could just as easily be made to look like this with the right lighting. >>
Jeremy,I agree with you 100% that it is impossible to grade any series without seeing the coins in hand, especially when deep mirrors are involved.Hope you get a chance to see it in hand.Best,LC
