Is it necessary for a coin Collector to wear torn jeans, have rumpled unkempt hair and a torn T Shir
1, Collectors should always attempt to be polite,
even if the dealer may be grumpy.
2.Collectors should at least make an effort to be
knowledgeable when they attend a coin show.
3. Know that rarely, will you find a top of the line coin
for the grade at an unbelievable cheap price.Unless
it is a rare overlooked variety or an error coin caught
by your sharp eyes.
4. If this is your first major show, do not be in a great hurry
to spend all of your money. Look around first and make notes
for your second walk thru.
5. Plan to have a leisurely lunch and relax before you take
another look see.
6. Bring a small suitcase with wheels and a handle so that you
can hold and roll all of your stuff easily, walking the show.
7. Always keep a hand on your suit case or place it tightly between
your legs, so that you are aware of it at all times. Remember, crooks
come to coin shows because that's where the money is.
8. When you leave the show, remove your show tag. No use advertising
that you were at a coin show.
9. When you go to your car, always maintain situational awareness. If you
spot something that makes you ill at ease or anxious, go back to a crowded
area with lots of people around. Inform security and ask for an escort.
10. Be careful when you do show and tell with friends at a restaurant,
you never know who is seated at the next table, listening.
11. Look out for little kids being taken advantage of. If you can do it tactfully,
try to steer them straight.
12. Am I telling you to be a bit paranoid, you bet I am. We are living in
dangerous times.

I've gone to shows in torn jeans, unkempt hair and a torn T Shirt as it's my everyday look
I've gone to shows dressed in between
The one constant is that NO ONE takes me seriously............
An open checkbook is the equalizer................MJ
Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......
I never dress up at a coin show because:
1. It would make me stand out in the crowd.
2. It would make me a possible target for crooks.
3. I would not be comfortable.
4. A dealer should not be influenced by the way I'm dressed.
