Pocket pieces anyone?
These 5 have been with me now for nearly 2 years, circulating in my pocket nearly everyday.
There also great for striking up a conversation with my boss, who has coins his father left him
"Big shinny ones", he said. The Jefferson commem has only been AC'd (artificially circulated) for a year.
The commem has an old circulated look that I kinda dig
Post em,

Both were bought off the “junk board” at the local dealer. They have been with me every day for good luck and great conversation.
I could have sold them more than a few times at three times what I paid for them but I’m sentimental, Or mental.
But it’s been lots of fun. Sorry for the monster pics, Don’t yell at me!!
<< <i>I’ve been walking these dogs for a long time, around 8 years on the cent and maybe 5 on the dollar.

Ibnemo, new member?? Almost 10 years???
I carried this '21 Peace dollar in my hip pocket, by itself, for more than a year. PCGS found the oh-so-slightest hairlines and BB'd it.
Today it is free of hairlines but I don't think I'll re-submit it. I sorta grew attached to carrying it around and showing it to friends. Amazing how many people have no knowledge about coins older than 20 years.
Lance.
I’ve been a lurker for a long time. I have learned allot hear.
And for the most part, from an extremely intelligent, friendly and knowledgeable group of folks.
I’m not sure where the new member thing came from. I might have pushed the wrong button.
I am new at posting, so don’t yell at me!!

<< <i>Ibnemo---From your pics, it looks like you are holding them while wearing cotton gloves. If so, why bother? >>
I find that it helps my camera balance colors better. It’s an inexpensive Pentax Optio 50 L. And by holding the coin in hand against the little desktop tripod it came with to eliminate shaking, and using the 2 second timer, and rotating the coin slightly in hand to get the right light I am able to get a somewhat decent picture. Some day I would like to get a nice set up that takes photos like the “Vet Guy” Sorry can’t think of his correct handle right now. Anyway good observation.

Your reason makes sense. Usually people wear cotton gloves to protect their coins from finger prints. In this case, it wouldn't have made sense.
