<< <i>Yes, it was on EBAY last week. Didnt like the cut through the cap though. >>
I don;t think that's a cut through the cap, it doesn't go through the high point of the cap! I think it's a strikthough. But that is my horrible opinion.
I owned that coin at one time and I interpreted the mark through the cap to be a scratch. Prior to my obtaining the piece someone had it regraded in an attempt to get a higher grade, which I believe left it without its Norweb information on the slab.
I see now that I remembered incorrectly about the lack of the Norweb name on the insert. The bottom images are TrueView images that the previous owner paid for while the top images are much more accurate. Overall, I believe the coin is just a little darker even than the top images.
Coin arrived today. The scratch is barely perceptible without significant magnification.
It's nice to be able to add relatively inexpensive Norweb and Eliasberg coins to the collection. There are lots of US Norweb coins out there. How often do you find one for under $1000?

It's in a PCGS AU-55 holder. Do I need to submit it again? Maybe after the B.O.?
