1979 jefferson clip. mint or post mint?

Just curious if this clip is mint or post mint. It doesn't look curved enough to have been done at the mint. I didn't notice the presence of the "marks" (I can't think of the name) that are usually evident on the opposite side of the clip. Any observations are welcomed.

I sure don't like the way metal is rauised up along the "cut". I don't like
the nearly complete lack of blakesly effect.

Most probably fake but a picture of the cut would make me more certain.

    I am leaning towards good

the rim edge looks thicker by IN GOD - opposite side of clip - good sign
the E of LIBERTY is weakly struck

but an edge on few would definitely sway my vote or add to by conviction

Looks to me like the real deal, I could be wrong of course, just ask my wife. The original rounded planchet clip distorts after being struck by the dies and the Blakesly effect on Jefferson nickels is just about always less dramatic in appearance.

A good image of the clipped edge would help.

Thanks for the feed back every one. I will be writing the term "Blakesly effect" in my book.

Master Collector - sweet find. And yes, that's what the clip on my coin looks like.

Nothing at all wrong with that coin, as others have said it's a genuine Mint error.
