Key dates and rarities index.

Where is there information about the different PCGS indexes. I want to find the breakdown and the holdings of the key dates and rarities index. Does anybody know where I can find that? All I can fin d is the index holdings for the general 3000 index. Thanks!

Edited: Sorry -- my original reply assumed you were asking for the location of the index; I see that's not the case. I wish I knew the answer. image

It's time I updated this thread.

Right now, in the era or bitcoins, REALL COINS, especially the key dates and rarities are going for next to NOTHING. .., the cost of Grading a REAL COIN, which is not going down in number, going up in rarity over time. Stackers will figure this out.

Many key dates are among the most overpriced, hardly relatively cheap. I have never seen the list but suspect that at least some of the rarities aren't really that rare either. There is also no equivalence to bitcoin or any other crypto "currency", as there is almost no overlap in the buyers.

I agree. I'm not sure what point the OP is trying to make. I will, however, say this much: the U.S. coin market is too large and too mature to be mispricing anything for any length of time.

My reply was directed more toward the post above mine. I did notice on one occasion that the rarities index was the only sub-index above it's 1989 peak to my recollection. This was in 2015.

I'm not sure what the point is either, other than financial promotion. Yes, I know collectors want these coins because they are hobbyists. As for "investors", they don't have a motive to pay much higher prices, as it would defeat the entire purpose of buying it.

I was referring to that post as the OP since the original OP was 12 years ago. Lol and banned.

I also don't know what "stackers" have to do it.
