Very tough to grade from the images- I would rather see it and tilt the coin to check for hairlines. This coin could look much better in hand- please understand I am not critical of the images- its just that offering a grade based on the image is very difficult because the opinions will likely range from Genuine to ef45

I haven't the slightest idea how to grade it but I do know that I like it.

The legend on the obverse reads:

top: Minted by the Military Government (of Szechuan Province, presumably)

    middle: Szechuan Silver Currency

    bottom: One Yuan (dollar)

    The reverse:

top: First Year of the Republic of China (1912)

middle: "Han" (As in the Han Chinese, distinct from the Manchu Qing Empire that fell the year before.)

Keep us posted on how it all turns out.

What's going on at 2 o'clock on the second picture? Two permanent pen marks/ lines?
