COIN DEALER. In what other profession can you be 56 and have 50 years experience?

I guess the clock starts when you sell a nickel to your buddy for 4 Cents. You see it all the time, a coin dealer with less grey hair than you who has 61 years in the trade. It is truly great though, that we can start out so young in life.

Do that too many times and your business career will be short indeed.

Actors and musicians came to mind, along with some circus performers, though I'd venture not many of them are still active at 56.

Incomplete planchets wanted, especially Lincoln Cents & type coins.

  • Come to think of it. I was a professional ventriloquist ($3 a show) at ten.

  • Land Surveyor, especially when your father was one, and he took you on surveys when you were 5. I learned some very valuable lessons at an early age:

when you hold the dumb end of the chain it means just that; shut up

the rod man always gets the shaft

rod men are expendable (I guess that's why he had 6 kids)

no matter where you are the rod man always "gets it"; especially if the truck is real far away
