Here is what $15 and some searching will get you for a Lincoln Cent in the midwest today....

It has luster on the obverse, both sides toned...my skill at toned pics is 'developing'...lol
Reverse weakly struck. Edited to add the last pic is the 2x2 I bought the coin in.

    avg strike , rather weak reverse. Good Buy though its not an easy coin to find in AU.

    At first glance, that coin looks mint state. On close inspection, do you see evidence of circulation? Weak strikes are commonly mistaken for AU.

    I do believe its a MS coin. I am considering sending it in just to see what it would grade. Hoping I can get more opinions from other members first.

    You need to get out your red book Guide Book US Coins by RS Yeoman, looks like wear on the feather tips.
    Unless this date is typical with weak reverse die strikes.

    Touche...I "think" the wheats are part of the weak strike....
