PCGS "Questionable Authenticity" vs. "Not Genuine"

Hi all,

I was just curious if PCGS still uses both of these terms? If so what exactly do they mean and what is the difference? Is one term "assigned" more frequently than the other in general?

Any info would be appreciated.

Don't know if it's true but I remember reading here that a declaration of "not genuine" (which means counterfeit, right?) requires involving the Treasury dept. Saying the coin has "questionable authenticity" does not.

Sorry, I'm not answering your question. Never had a coin returned with either, and hope never to!
