Has anyone ever been involved in finding coins in cornerstones of old buildings or time capsules?

That would be an interesting way to possibly view old coins.

No, but my parents ripped out the flooring in the part of their old office building they used. We had hopes of finding some really early 1900 era coins, but we only found a couple of wheats. Too bad we didn't do the space next door that was once an old pool hall. Now the building has been sold.

This soldiers and sailors monument is said to have had a set of Proof coins of 1892 entombed in the footstone. Eventually I will sift thru local archives to attempt to confirm the tale.
