Best Weekly Circulation Find Contest Starts Now!!!!

relicsncoinsrelicsncoins Posts: 7,859 ✭✭✭✭✭
Ok folks here is the contest. There will be two categories. Oldest find and most valuable find. Each participant get's one entry into each category. Finds must come from circulation, ie recieved in change and can not be found by roll searching. We will use the redbook to determine value. Each entry must have a photo of the coin found and for the most valuable category the post should contain the stated value. We are on the honor system here so be honest about your finds. Have fun and good luck!!

Post your finds under this post.

I have an MS 68 2008 D in pocket change.

SGS might call it a 70 image
    PCGS might call it AU-58

    Photos forthcoming.

Assuming that twosides is talking about a Lincoln of course.

Cool idea. We do this in the "Wild Card" category of the monthly Metal Detector Forum awards (for items found without a metal detector).

1954 Jefferson nickel, AU+ to borderline MS, with nice toning (and luster not seen in these scans).

Both from the cash drawer at work, fairly recently. (But posted before you started this contest, so they might not qualify).
