I've been watching the 2009-P dimes crash and burn lately as many seem to be finding them in change and in rolls. This is the first nickel I've noticed though!

Yes, when they mint them and offer them at the US mint.

No, because mint sets are satin finish. Eventually though, the ones minted will come to the market. Some people are just impatient I suppose.
Does that mean the last few years the mint sets I got were satin finish as well?

seller has four listings for 2009 coins, all "RARE"

2004 was the last regular business strike mint sets. 2005 and newer are satin finish.

Rare indeed. Only 1 in every 8 US residents can have a 2009 nickel.

now it looks like rolls are selling around $25
so that means each nickel is about .65 cents -- a big difference from 81 dollars
im guessing the price should continue to drop fast
<< <i>...I wonder if that guy is still enjoying his 81 dollar nickel? >>
Successful Trades: Swampboy,
maybe the correct price is $2 then?
