Many of the coins are heavily spotted and/or ugly. They have the "how did this POS get in that holder?" look to them.

That's what happens in a coin market and an economy that's sending more and more of the nice coins into hiding.

I've noticed a similar trend for poorer quality matte proof lincolns on teletrade - not a scientific survey, just a possible trend
