I took a Shot Across The Street... 2006 ASE'S..Poll

I know they're just bullion to some.

When the 2006 ASE Anniversary Sets went on sale there was a 10 set/household limit.
I decided to make consecutive orders of 3 sets, 3 sets and 4 sets hoping the coins would be of similar quality if they were ordered within minutes of each other.

Initially, I hoped I could sell them for $150/set and I’d have been happy to make $500 on my $1000 investment. I did wind up with more than 10 sets thanks to family and friends

I still have some mint sealed boxes that were ordered in sequence, and finally opened a box of 3 sets. The coins were the best I’ve seen, even nicer than some of the individual Reverse Proofs I sent to PCGS of which 2 of the five came back as 70’s. So, I was sure ATS would grade these recently opened as 70’s too. I looked at them long and hard and picked 2 RP’s and 2 W burnished that looked perfect to my old eyes. Well, that’s only four coins so I round out the order with 1 of the six ’08 rev of ’07 (all indistinguishable form one another) that I got from one of my mint orders of 12 coins. Looking at the ’08 rev of ’07 next to the burnished ‘06’s was no contest. The ‘06’s sparkled in comparison…..I knew there was no way The '08 rev of "07 would get a 70 from PCGS and that is why I sent them all Across The Street. I also send them the second 3 set order of this sequence still mint sealed.

Either I suck at picking out 70's or ATS grades these 20th Anniversary ASE's tighter when sent individually than when in unopened mint sealed submissions and they’re real easy on the ’08 rev of '07.

My Quandary:
I still have the sealed box of 4 sets that was in this sequence and wonder if I should send them to PCGS or ATS. I sure would like to get some 20th Anniversary MS70 burnished in PCGS plastic.
