Edited to add the following.........
Yep, got the easy ones out of the way. image I'll probably end up making a lot of them. Let me tell anyone trying to put together a grading set - don't select a common date. The reason why is no one submits low grade coins for a common date. Unfortunately, I originally selected this date as it was probably the cheapest Morgan Dollar out there in MS grades. However, it has become apparent that because it is such a common date, there just isn't lower graded PCGS coins made. My suggestion is to chose a date that is more in the mid-range price arena, as there will be some coins submitted in the lower grades. But still won't break the bank when buying the high MS grades as well.

yeah, most 81-S's under AU58 will sell for just above melt. Good luck with these in the lower-mid grades. Maybe you can find some graded 81-S VAMs, the better ones probably would have been benificial to slab in lower grades......??? just a thought.

I'll keep an eye out for ya, think my local B&M guy might have one or two in circ in one of his junk boxes. That's really what you're going to have to do here, buy raw coins and get em slabbed, the only way lower grade 81-Ss are getting slabbed is for a lowball set or something like that, pretty much these are $25 Morgans in low grade MS and below that they're junk silver.

The pop reports show none for most of the lower grades. You are going to have to make 2,6,8,12,20

Good Luck! I am completing an 1894o set and had to make many of the lower grades.

slipgate - thanks for the pop report. I figured it was something close to that, but didn't think some grades won't have any graded. I have bought a few raw ones up in lower grades that I think will grade, and plan on submitting those this spring.

Anyone else have any of the dates I need? Thanks!

I can check at my local dealer. but if I buy them raw I expect you to buy them off me for what I have in them.
I don't want to be stuck with them. Now in the holder on the low end coins cost some money. I traded my raw PO1 1894 O Morgan for two coins I needed. The 94O got slabbed PO1.
If you can get a 21 D in 2, 12,15,20,25,30,35 I will trade even for any circ., 1881 S you need in the holder.
Coin for coin, no money changes hands. So far I put about 25 PO1's in the holder.
