Looking to move a couple coins to fund a new Bass (guitar) purchase.
First up is a nice au50 1857-S $1 with Bass (the man) pedigree. Coin is very nice, from what I understand some of the planchets were mixed or annealled incorrectly, resulting in the copper rising to the surface of the coin. The result is a thick skin that really lights up when the light hits the coin at the right angle. A mintage of only 10,000 makes the 1857-S a bit harder to find in Au and up.
Asking $1200 with shipping/insurance included.
Board refrences are available if desired, coins will ship registered mail with delivery confirmation and full insurance.
Thanks for looking !!
Edited to add : Paypal or personal check/money order accepted (check will possibly delay shipment until it clears). Paypal, please add 3% to total to cover fees, thanks !

edit: ps, I'm not saying I think it grades 58, just that I only collect AU half dimes.
What Bass is worth that much??
Vintage Gibson or Fender?

Spector NS4
I like the vintage Fenders (I have a '72 P-bass), but the active electronics and incredible hardwoods on the newer Spector's and Warwick's are incredible !
