Every coin in the collection that I'm photographing is AU50 to MS63 with most being AU58..... Except for this dog. I figured it HAD to be rare to be in the group. Labeled as O-113.

I would say that it looks genuine, why do you think it is a counterfeit?

    Nice picture to boot!

    Congratulations!

    Who said anything about counterfeit?

    Well, it's not O-101 - O-112, and I can't find an image (online) of the O-113.

BUT, if I were to guess that yours was an O-113, I'd say you had a good chance.
Otherwise it's a brand new variety.

You looking to sell it to me? image

It is 113--looks like the Tidwell coin which sold back in 2004.

Edit to add: The second finest known (XF-40) hammered tonight for $28777.00 ($31665.00 with juice) in a Sheridan Downey mail bid sale.
Just because I'm old doesn't mean I don't love to look at a pretty bust.

The worn out Bustie that is the subject of this thread may only be worth $20,000. image
I collect Capped Bust series by variety in PCGS AU/MS grades.

What are the markers for the O-113?

Star 7 points to the front of Liberty's cap rather than the headband. This makes it either O-103 or O-113. On 113 both inner point of star 8 are close to touching the cap--not so on 103.

The 3 in the date has a misshapen lower loop. Although this is true of other die marriages for the year, the "look" is unique.
