LOL, won by Ibeatmywife and IGotchagood, funny askraq I saw that the original didn't sell for over 200k like the first time they listed it, but 1300 bucks for one piece of cereal aint bad.
The original thread for this was funny. Watching the item get thousands of hits per hour was fascinating and humorous to me. If anyone can find that link, perhaps they can bring it to the top and discuss how and why we coin people are any geekier than stock market people or sports fanatics.
I think they poofed all the corn flake threads, they were pretty poof happy that day. Check this one out, maybe we should start a Coin Box thread about it? Freaky Auction Link
You dirty dogs took my thread off track. It was already OFF TOPIC enough
...this part of the story had me thinking "Lloyds of London" or GEICO so he could insure his cornflake for shipment
Kerr owns TriviaMania.com and said he will likely send someone to Virginia to pick up the flake by hand, so it won't be damaged. This isn't the first corn flake that Kerr has tried to buy. He said he purchased a flake billed as the world's largest, but that by the time it was delivered it had crumbled into three pieces.
I might go 5¢ for it but $1300.??? I mean, that thing would break in half by just looking at it cross-eyed. I wonder how they packed it up for shipping? Wasn't it P.T. Barnum that said there's a sucker born every minute?
Of course, I'm not from Illinois though, so...?
