G&F Galleries Coin of the Month - Opinions?

I've seen their ad for years and wonder if anyone has or had any experience with them? Quality? Good deal?

They outta Philadelphia?

If so they had a MS65 coin of the month club in the 80's

After 3 tries I saw that there 65 and my 65 differed.

They were around in the 1980's and 1990's too. Can't say I ever felt like gambling with their "portfolios."

Yup, from the city of Brotherly Love.

When you did it, were they certified? Now they only use PCGS or NGC certified for their monthly club.

While these coins are slabbed by NGC and PCGS, I would like to pick and choose my own coins, and not pay someone to do it for me. What kind of coins can one get for the lower level of the type service?

In my earlier collecting days I tried a couple of companies' "wholesale lots", including G&F. I can say that G&F was the most honest of the bunch as their packages were free of problem coins. Even with certified coins though, I suspect their appraisal of EST. Retail Value will be higher than your own. You would probably do better buying your own coins.
