O.K.
Technically it's before my time but I just find this thread to be be hilarious.
So many of the posters who were regulars when I signed on are in it.

It wasn't that bad. If memory serves it was only out about six hours total the whole weekend. I think that's when they archived a lot of the more recent material tough and it was a few months before the old boards died.

It was terrible over the last few months of the old (pre-2001) board.

That was about a year before my time and everyone one of those posters was posting away vigorously when I joined.

I miss those days. It's not bad now as we have moved to a whole new family of posters with a few long timers keeping the balance or stirring it depending how you look at it.
