after being excited and looking it up in a book and showing it to someone
and feeling all pleased about your cherrypick you realize you were not looking at what you thought you were?
Last night I was going through some silver Washington quarter sets and was examining the reverses on the last page.
As I looked at the last coin on the bottom row in the Whitman album (which is usually the space for the 64D) I noticed
a nice BU Type C reverse coin. WOW! I found a 1964D type C reverse...a pretty rare find. I showed my wife and explained the differences
between the reverses and looked it up in The Cherrypickers Guide. I was feeling all happy and excited.
Then I looked down and...something was wrong. There was no "D" on the quarter. But it's in the 64D spot I thought. I flipped to the front of the page and looked down and there...I realized my foolishness. I had been looking at a 1965 quarter. DUH!!! There was an extra space i this album that allowed one extra quarter after the silver issues. It was not a rare 1964 Type c reverse but a common 1965 Washington.
