Anyone know about old banks?

These banks have coins in them and I can't figuire out how to open them. The round one is for dimes and has several in it. My best guess is it has to be full and then I have to turn the screw until the bottom pops off. My question is once I open it will it close again or is it broke? the second one has coins in it and I don't have a quess how to open that one. You can see teeth in front of the slot so no coins can come out. The bank on the cover changed to old stone bank in 1967 but later went out of business. I hope anyone here with stock in it had the prefered stock and didn't loose any money on that one!! Thanks for any help Dave

<< <i>Do many coin collectors collect old banks too? Like the one in the picture or the cast iron kind? The two hobbies seem to kind of go hand in hand. >>
I do. Like my coins, I collect old and new. These are very unique and I wish I could piddle with them. Can't wait to see what's inside.
Not quite a jackpot Atleast I didn't damage the bank which is the important part. Thanks all
PS; Is pre 1964 canadian coins silver also?

<< <i>Tahoe98.... yes... I have been picking locks for many, many years... started as a kid.... then, when in my twenties, actually took a locksmith course... to find out why I could do what I did... (open locks that is). Just the kind of challenge that interests me... Cheers, RickO >>
Ricko...I may have a few jobs for you to pull.
