Another new Counterfeit from a group of coins, recently purchased off ebay.

Genuine Weight = 6.3 grams vs Counterfeit Weight = 4.6 grams.

    Very interesting. It looks like a contemporary counterfeit made to deceive merchants and not collectors.I bet it is over 120 years old and still worth more than a quarter.

    Thanks, Yeah I'm sure they're contemporary counterfeits. If you see them in hand, you can get a better feel for them. image

    Not 30%. Probably closer to 5%

    Do counterfeitors sell counterfeits to other counterfeitors? Or do counterfeitors unwittingly buy counterfeit items from counterfeitors thinking they--the items--aren't counterfeit?
