Help?? Question about ICG

I'm looking at an ancient coin slabbed by ICG. Do you trust them to authenticate ancients?
I normally buy only PCGS but they don't do ancients, wish though that they did....
I posted this in ancient coins forum also. Could use some advice. Thanks!

<< <i>ICG is really the only game in town for ancients and yes they are very good for authentication.....truth be told they score high marks in the areas of ancient, conservatively graded u.s. and world coins in CIRCULATED grades.....their shortcomings seem to be with MS coins and the freely given "MS70's"

Exactly right and well said.
As to moderns, I look at Ikes in all TPG holders since varieties and worthy die-clashed examples have no TPG preference but ICG Ike grading is WAAAAY to generous. rob

People have to get out of that mindset and accept the coins in the plastic for what they are.
As for ICG and ancients, yes.
For moderns, no thanks (though, I have some...gifts from my uncle).
I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment
<< <i>I see that Home Shopping Channel uses ICG on their coin shows, kind of leaves a bad taste for ICG for me. My 2 cents! >>
I've PCGS and NGC on that channel.
