A little birdie told me that world class half eagles have literally flown off of the shelves. The show must be red hot, hot, hot.

It' not that busy here, but those who are here came to do business. I sold all of my $5's at the first table. I broke my vow and bought three coins. I hope I do not get booted for saying this, but they are raw! More later...

Lots of awesome Large Cents at several tables today. And some knockout Half Cents. Maybe it's just me, but it looks like prices are up. I refuse to buy one until Plat season is over.image

Actually the whole bourse looked pretty good, with more nice coins floating around than I had been led to believe were available.

I didn't see a single Matte Proof Lincoln though, and I was looking. I was tempted in the back of my mind to buy my first Morgan, but I got over the feeling quickly.image

Some of the toners I saw at one table were unquestionably beautiful, and I wouldn't be able to authenicate one of those if it smacked me right in the forehead, but they were slabbed by the "big two."

I've already got two 1974S Proof Ikes that are nicely toned, but one dealer had a coin that he wanted $500 for it - and I must say that you would never get your money out of it, but you would sure enjoy showing it off!

(I wonder what the 3 coins that RYK bought were.)image

I've always loved the Draped Bust design. One question - what happened to the 13th star on the Rev. of that 1805?
