1794 half dime

I am new to coins, mostly do sports memorabilia. I was given a 1794 flowing hair half dime as a graduation/clean up duty present and might be looking to move it. I have had it looked at by about 4 dealers and they say it is either a VF35 or an EF40. I am looking to get it graded at the Atlanta show in a few weeks with the on-site grading. Would anyone be interested in this coin. I have been told half dimes are not as collectible as other coins. Please let me know. Thanks. Also, are large coin shows the best way to sell coins?
