I won a hobby box of 36 packs and 2 retail boxes of 24 on ebay a few days ago. Hopefully I will be able to work out some trades with you guys.

Has anyone purchased any 2007 Topps Opening Day? If so does it seem like a decent set? I picked up a box of 36 packs off of ebay for $24.00 plus shipping. For less than $1 dollar a pack I figured it was worth a shot.

I realized the same thing too after I was about 1/2 way done, but figured since this is my first set EVER!, than I'll do it the "right" way. Are you doing the inserts too or just the base? I'm just doing the base and it has been fun too. I've saved money by buying in bulk and not worrying about the inserts with the 22 card rack packs for under 3 bucks though.

I still need to finish my A-Rod road to 500 set, and the Mantle HR History and I'll consider my Master Set "Done". This is because you'd have to be on drugs to think you can complete the 1st edition parallel, gold parallel, copper parallel, platinum parallel, and printing plate parallels.

That's awesome. I just don't have the money to spend on the boxes it takes to get the master set. I have only pulled 2 gold or copper cards from the few regular packs I have opened. Good luck on the A-Rod set. The only one I have is HR #20, which you probably have, but if you don't I could send it your way.

Thanks, but today I was able to snipe a nearly complete set of A-Rod HR inserts for about $40, then I picked up the last card for a dollar or so. I now have the A-Rod set complete. If you look around E-Bay enough, you'll be able to find complete insert sets for a pretty decent price as everybody pretty much flooded the market with inserts looking for the Jeter card.
