1953 Canadian PL coins

In a Canadian group that I bought today in an auction there were four 1953 coins (dime - dollar) that appear to be from a set. All are toned in the same way and under the toning appear to have PL fields. What's the best way to find out what I've got here, if anything?

Look at the rim on the quarter... does it have a very narrow wire rim?
The wire rim I believe is the tougher variety.

The quality on alot of the 1953 coins is terrific and it can be a challenge to make the distinction.

Check the water lines on the Dollar. I think there is also an issue with the strap on the Portrait of Queen Elizabeth

I know this isn't much help in terms of the question, but it might help in just determining the value of these

Charlton mentions that the RCM started using the white cardboard holder and cellophane wrapping in 1953. But they start listings at 1954. No where in the catalogue are descriptions for 1953 PL coins only MS and SP strikes.

Could anyone PM me with address and shipping specifics/considerations for a Canadian grading service? I guess I'll send them in and have someone take a look at the coins.

Here are photos of the coins. The toning makes them hard to photograph...very hard to show detail.

I think that toning may hide the PL. Maybe ICCS will be able to determine if so.

PM sent with info on ICCS + CCCS
